Jewels from handmade ceramic beads decorated with painted and/or incised decoration produced from different clays with firing under reducing-oxidising conditions; they are combined with blue-green beads of faience (Egyptian paste), sea-shells, and bone or ivory beads. Inspired by ancient artefacts from Neolithic to the Late Bronze Age (6th to 2nd millennium BC).
Necklaces with kaolin beads bearing gilding and/ or polychromy are based on Hellenistic terra-cotta jewelry found as far afield as Macedonia, Southern Italy, and Egypt around 330-300 BC, a time when a common artistic language was emerging in the Mediterranean basin (see the parts of a wreath at the Louvre). Every jewelry item is unique and different.
